Hello! My name is Andrew Zielke. I am the oldest of six kids and I live in Northern Virginia. I have been attending Liberty University, Majoring in Criminal Justice, and Politics & Policy.
My heart for missions was kindled when I had the amazing opportunity to minister to the Lakota tribe in South Dakota, but was ignited when I was part of two short-term mission trips to Guatemala in 2019 and 2020, the last, respectively, with Independent Missionary Network.
Some of my passions that I am excited to use during my time in Guatemala are working with children, serving those in need, and most importantly spreading the Gospel to those who do not know it. I am also excited to be pushed in many other areas of personal growth so that I may better serve the Lord in His calling on my life.
When I was in Guatemala in 2020, I spent a lot of time walking through the streets and talking to the Guatemalan people. I naturally developed a mindset based on my surroundings that if everyone had a “new house” or “better plumbing”, for example, their lives would be better. However, I was wrong. God clearly revealed to me that if people only knew and believed in God’s Holy Word, their lives would be forever changed! As we continued our home visits to get to know and encourage families in the community, the refreshed mindset God imparted to me forever changed my perspective.
We are told in Mark 10:45 that “even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” I pray that I will carry out my calling to serve God with humility, faithfulness, and love – doing all to advance His kingdom.
Please pray about partnering with God’s vision for making disciples through the IMN Apprenticeship Program by supporting my ministry!
