IMN Missionary Serving in
Naomi Baumann is from Bourbonnais, Illinois. She is 20 years old and is attending college in Kankakee, Illinois. Naomi’s missionary journey began at 15 years old, when she went with her family on their first mission trip to Guatemala. In November of 2011, they spent a week at El Faro and felt God calling them to return to Guatemala for a longer period of time. After a lot of prayers, they moved to Guatemala to be missionaries in El Faro for one year (2013-14). While Naomi was there, she worked in children’s ministry, assisted the dentist in the office and during medical trips, and took weekly trips to visit the children’s hospital in Puerto Barrios. During this time, Naomi knew God was calling her to return for long-term mission work in Guatemala. She is currently finishing her degree in nursing and will graduate in May of 2017. She plans to move to Guatemala in December of 2017.
Upon returning to Guatemala, Naomi will be serving in Livingston, a town about 20 minutes by boat from El Faro. She will be serving as a Registered Nurse in a health clinic there, as well as working in women’s ministries. One of her long-term goals is to establish a ministry working specifically with the women of Livingston, focusing on prenatal care and health. Jesus first laid the idea for this ministry on Naomi’s heart while she was serving in a pregnancy center in the States. Although the work in Livingston will largely serve to meet medical needs, it will most importantly be an opportunity to share the Gospel. Naomi is looking forward to working alongside the people of Livingston and seeing God’s plans unfold.
I would like to ask you to pray and ask God if is His will for you to become a partner with me of God’s work for us at Guatemala.
