Keith and Dawn Brutout

Keith Brutout was privileged to have started his walk with the Lord from an early age; as he grew older each passing year, God continuously showed Himself faithful in his life. In 1979, Keith married his wife, Dawn, and both were later blessed with two boys: Brad and Michael. Brad was born in 1985; lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Caitlin; and blessed Keith and Dawn to their first grandchild: baby Quinn. Their youngest son, Michael, lives in Chesterton and serves on the board of directors for Independent Missionary Network.
In the year 1999, Keith embarked on his first mission trip to Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Immediately, the heart of a missionary birthed inside him; upon returning home, he became involved with a ministry called Outreach Mission Commission at his local church. While there, he continued to grow in leadership: first as a member, and later as the chairman. This was a season of his life which lasted over ten years and in which he led various mission trips to Mexico. Moreover, he spent two of those years leading mission trips to New Orleans in aid of those affected by the calamitous hurricane Katrina. Soon after this, Keith learned about Guatemala, particularly a place called El Faro (The Lighthouse). In the year 2009, he took his first team there; everyone fell in love with the area and the people. The following year, he brought a second team, and this thus marked the beginning of a beautiful and continuing ministry that God had long been brewing in Keith’s heart. As of today, Keith is part of the staff at El Faro as the U.S. representative and leads missionary teams from around the U.S. to El Faro, Guatemala. But it does not end here! In the year 2013, Keith founded the Independent Missionary Network with the vision of helping independent missionaries fulfill their dreams. This is the dawn of great new things that God will be doing in and through the lives of Keith and Dawn.
