Hola! We are Lucio and Vanita Berumen. Lucio is from Mexico and Vanita is from St. Paul, Minnesota. We met in Mexico while Lucio was doing his Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and Vanita was learning Spanish and then she continued to also do her DTS with YWAM-Mexico. In 2005, we were married and we have been blessed with three sons- yes all boys! Our family has been serving together in YWAM in many different roles over the years including leading short-term mission trips, teaching, Public Relations for Latino outreach, and founding and leading the English & Cross-Cultural Orientation (ECCO).

Our passion is to fill the gap between different cultures and to raise up leaders worth following. We have done this through short-term mission trips, English programs to help those who want to go into missions, personal discipleship, and many others.

Our next chapter of ministry will be focused on Leadership Development in Latin America. Over the years we have built up so many connections as we’ve traveled around the world to over 40 countries, with people who have hearts to serve God. Many of them do not have adequate training due to language and finances. God has led us to fill in this gap. Lucio has been using new strategies for discipleship and coaching as well as translating the resources into Spanish.

We are so excited to see how God will use these new tools and strategies to train up leaders and Pastors so that they can expand their area of influence to reach the Nations for Christ!
