Mayra Duran
Hi! My name is Mayra Duran and I’m from Guatemala.
I have a willing heart for God and missions.
I’ve been doing missions in my own country for ten years now. I started as a volunteer at Mision El Faro where I helped as an interpreter, teacher in the Bible Sunday School, and with some youth with special needs. Now I’m back in Guatemala City and I’ve been partnering with other organizations and missionaries as well, helping as an interpreter.
During all this time I’ve learned how important is to testify about what God is doing in the ministry we lead. That’s the reason why I created GRAFABLE – a project that helps missionaries to write down their own newsletters – to share the wonderful stories God’s doing all around.
(You can take a deeper look about this at www.grafable.com )
I have a passion for missions and serving people wherever I go. And know I haven’t been called to a place but to serve!
Mathew 9:35,36 (NLT)
Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
“O Lord, You are my God. I will praise You. I will give thanks to Your name. For You have been faithful to do great things, plans that You made long ago.” Isaiah 25:1
