My name is Mayra Duran

and I am from Guatemala. I love God and have a passion to serve Him by serving others. Ten years ago I began serving on the mission field in my own country, Guatemala. I volunteered at a ministry called Misión El Faro where I served in children’s ministry, with mission groups, and special education. During these years, I met God in a deeper way.

After that, God opened doors for me to serve in Peru. I learned about and engaged with a new culture and was able to share the gospel with unreached communities in the Amazon Rainforest. Then, I returned to Guatemala and began to write about these experiences. This inspired me to start a ministry called Grafable, a platform I use to write about missions. A significant part of my ministry is supporting missionaries and nonprofits by writing and translating their newsletters so their experiences serving on the mission field can be better understood by others. Writing has shown me that we all have a story to tell, and it is our responsibility to share what God continues to do in our lives. It has been my privilege to help people conquer language barriers to share their beautiful stories.

This is part of my story and I am loving every chapter God keeps writing in my life!
